Veteran film critic David Stratton interviews Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee on his progression towards a mainstream American comedy after strenuous shoots for ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’, ‘Hulk’ and the emotional roller-coaster that was ‘Brokeback Mountain’. Lee goes on to discuss his working relationship with Heath Ledger on the latter, describing the late actor as a “Genius”, and explains why he feels his 1997 drama ‘The Ice Storm’ could be considered an unofficial sequel to ‘Taking Woodstock’.
